Is your Colt Sheriff's Model a 1860 Army or an 1851 Navy?

The .44 cal Navy falls into the "Fantasy Firearm" category, and won't be allowed, no matter the barrel length.

As for the Pietta Army, it is allowed, but you'll have to get the SAC to approve a short barreled variant. Since it's not already on the approved list...I think that will be a LONGGGG shot!

For what it matters, this is my opinion after reading the approved firearms list. For a final decision, you really need to talk to the SAC.

    Hi Smokewagon51!

Bring it to the skirmish the weekend after next and we can tell you about it.

Is this the gun you have?

The approved arms list can be found here:

    http://www.n-ssa.org/s/SAC2021.pdf

Here are the list of approved arms manufactured by Pietta. Note that the importer listed is simply the importer who submitted the gun for approval - your gun doesn't actually have to come from the importer listed. It's the manufacturer that matters.

Here is the list of approved Colt 1860s:

Interestingly, no barrel length is mentioned. My assumption, though, is that your gun is an "1860 Army Sheriff" and not an "1860 Army" and thus not an approved arm.

    Seeya at the skirmish!
