    black powder for cartridges...

A question for those shooting Henrys. What powder do you use?? I have a friend who is into antiques and he wants to make some black powder loads up for a couple of antique pistols in .38 S & W and 45 colt. What would you recommend? GOEX or Swiss, and what cut, 2X or 3X??
An additional point raised by an acquaintance is should there be filler used? He says that airspace over the black powder is not good.

    Bill,

I use 30 grains Goex FFFg in my Henry rounds in 44-40. 28 grains Goex FFFg in my Ballard. I have also used Swiss FFFg but the Goex seemed to work better. I plan on trying FFg Swiss in the future when time allows.

Might be a bit before others respond. They are at Nationals from now until Sunday.
