    The first thing I do is shim the gas plate square to the breech face. For this gun, it?s about .003? added to the right side between the block and plate. Fill the breech block with high temperature silicone and allow to overfill. Let cure for 2 weeks and trim flush to the face with a razor knife. It will slowly get beat back over time. Block pictured is after 2 seasons. I?ll get a third year, then over the winter break dig out the old and repeat the process.

    Upon cleaning it this evening, I found that the chamber bushing does indeed come right out. It measures out at a .549 diameter and will not fit an unsized (.553) Christmas Tree style in it. I?m probably going to see if someone can make me a bigger one to fit a full hunting charge.

    Slugged the bore as well, it?s a pretty tight .530.
