    1841 Mississsipi Band Springs

My question is whether the two band springs on a M1841 rifle are the same in length, width and thickness as those on a M1842 musket? In other words? will they interchange?
    Thanks!

Since the 1841 and 1842 were made in the same armory at the same time I would think they are close enough to interchange even though the 1841 was made on the Shenandoah river side and the 1842 on the Potomac river side in different parts of the armory.
