Not really. But guys, there are some rules on what's allowed here. When you have lots and lots of modern crap, the site no longer has any meaning.

Yeah it was my first car when I turned FOURTEEN!!!!! Yes I said 14!!!!!!!!!! We Iowa kids needed to get around. Had school permit but of course cruised around at night too -- until the Iowa Highway Patrol caught up with me. Had to be a bit discreet after that (Dad paid the $9 fine).

Now if one of our members here has a straight eight Buick for sale (1946-1952), please let me know, via PM of course.

My first car was a '52 Buick Super four door. I love those old straight eights. BTW, Buicks used overhead valve engines, not flatheads.

That must have been pretty cool. Being 14 and riding around town in a brand new '49 Plymouth

The best thing - the guys on the west side of town were on my route and all needed rides. To get a ride they were forced to quit beating me up.

And to this day Jim's '49 (1849) still sits in his parents front yard.

This is the stuff that's been missing on here lately.
    PJ, that's funny right there!
Eggman, you should start a new thread in Around the Campfire. I'd sure hate to see anybody going for a ride in the '49 BB paddy wagon. Again......
