I believe you will enjoy reading Mr.Mapoles article when you get the back issue. Since it appears that after the series on the 1859 Sharps he will be going on to other breech loaders so I went ahead and subscribed. He talks about the different types of paper cartridges but for the accruracy test he used the flush fitting type with the ring tail bullet and 53 grains of powder. His most accrurate load was with Goex 2f. I just received the Fall 2020 issue with him testing the 1859 Sharps infantry rifle and it's another one of great interest. I think you are doing pretty good with your slant breech.
For my Birthday I got the Sharps Firearms Percussion era book by Marcot,Paxton and Marron and found it a treasure of information and can recommend highly. In this covid era my book collection is helping pass the time.
