    Smith Flash hole repair

A team mate has a Pietta Smith that missfires half the time. We suspect the flash hole needs to be bushed. Is there domeone there in Skirmishland who does this work? Thanks!

I just had Larry Flees work on my Pietta Smith. It had a drill bit broken off in the cleanout screw hole from the factory. In addition, there were not many threads left holding the cleanout screw in place. In fact 1/4 of the hole was gone due to intersecting with the nipple hole. It required lots of rework. Larry did a great job. He has also done my Sharps and did great work on it. 1-231-342-0821

I think Jim may be describing the flash hole on the face of the inside recessed surface of the receiver immediately behind the cartridge when closed, and not the Clean out screw area per say...

Larry reworked the entire flash channel on my Smith, from cone to chamber.

Bob Gorsky did my Pietta Smith from the flash hole all the way back to the chamber below the nipple. Great price, good work, and not one misfire since.
