    Spencer in the Third Estate

Just a heads up, Spencer lovers may want to take a look at WILD WEST Magazine in November (just finished final editing). Their Guns of the West section will feature a write up I did on my $140 Spencer in the context of the Spencer dominated Beecher's Island fight in Colorado in 1868. A sidebar covers the history of my specific gun rebuilt mostly with Dixie Gun Works parts. And of course Bobby Hoyt is there with the barrel reline. This was the pre-centerfire replacement era so it also includes the .22 primed rimfire cases Ferguson Mfg. and I made for Dixie for 49 years. Think you'll enjoy it.

    Good old Turner.
I stumbled onto Roberson Brass in Amarillo, Tx while searching for custom cases.
Jeff, the owner, said he makes the same rimfire Spencer version which sells well in England, of all places.
