I am not having any luck finding an 1861 Springfield Lower Barrel Band from any vendors. Anyone out there happen to have one? repro or original they would be willing to part with?
Thanks

How particular are you? I've got an old nasty one. Rusted and a little bent. If you want to try to make it work, you can have it. Just PM me your address and I'll mail it to you.

Hello:
With the standing order not to post phones and emails without permission, the following has been approved by my Unit Commander:
A sutler at our Ft. Shenandoah that also attends shows and give his contact info widely is Ed Knisely, of York, PA, 717-741-2556. Ed has had original '61 bands in the past and got me nice lower and upper ones two years ago.
'61's were rarely not issued so finding a mint one is a quest. Have been told the most scarce is the mid, swivel, band. Hope you have some 'Vegas money.
Beware of import bands. I have not seen or heard of any that were interchangeable.
Respectfully,
Kevin Tinny
I was just on S&S and they have one.

I have one. Dark patina and some pits but solid. U is barely visible. I will sell for $50 shipped. If you do not like it, I will buy back up to 30 days after the sale for full price. You pay for return shipping.
