    Ideal/Lyman 540-619 Mould?

I'm not familiar with that particular Ideal/Lyman mould but given the diameter and it being a heeled bullet, would it be for .56-56 Spencer? If so you might consider an alternative sold by Buffalo Arms (buffaloarms.com), #539375. I have their mould, it wasn't cheap but it casts a very nice heeled bullet that works well in my M1860 Spencer carbine. They also have the brass for .56-56 Spencer.

Jim, The bullet I?m currently using is a Buffalo Arms 56-56 Spencer with the middle band modified to .540?. It shoots well , but a friend gave me some bullets made from the Lyman mould and it brought my pattern at 100 yards from around 4.5? to less than 3?. So I?d like to do a little more experimenting with it.
