Parker Hale 2 band 1858 Enfield Rifle DeFarbed $600 shipped

Parker Hale 2 Band Enfield Rifle Defarbed. I picked up a bundle of defarbed blackpowder at a estate. I am not a expert but a friend of mine who does camp with you fellas said these are well done pieces maybe Lodgewood. He bought the 3 band P-H.
    $600 shipped lower 48
    Best regards,
    Bob

Any particular reason you refer to this rifle as defarbed? I have always considered a defarbed repro as one that has had all modern markings removed and authentic markings placed in the appropriate places.

They did not defarb it at all except for adding square washers.

Here's a proper defarb for example:

The lock washers are still round-eared as far as I can see.

    Kennesaw,

We're really not picking on you. You have a good rifle at a reasonable price. It is just not a defarbed piece. If I didn't already have a 1858 P-H, I would be interested in buying yours.

Terrific price actually, and someone can easily defarb this for a couple hundred and have a very nice rifle.

No offense, I read "Confederates in the Attic" about 20 years ago so I know how prickly it can be for newbs!
