So they would get a pass is what your are saying?

My team was talking about that. I think we got bumped up to fall nationals to host. Talk a year back was we would host spring 2021 now fall 2020.
I would hope they would just push them back one nationals.
But who know. We just wait and see and shoot for the best.
I know due to work and the virus all bets are off for the next year.

    Spring Nationals- May, 2020

Thanks everyone for their input! I know it?s still a little early yet and in the next few weeks we should know how things are going.

I am still planning on attending the Nationals. I haven?t heard if the team will be attending or not as of yet.
The team has to travel 14+ hours to attend.

Thanks to all and stay safe!

I reckon it might make sense to skip the Spring Nationals host teams and jump to the next hosts on the roster-- many of us have to plan well in advance to schedule our time off, due to our work responsibilities. I'm one of the "Spring Host Team" members who's "getting out of it." I do not take that lightly. I understand there are a lot of reasons why this decision was made, and I accept it. I don't celebrate it. Assuming I'm 1) employed 2)allowed to take vacation and 3) not dead or dying, I will contribute at least 1 full day to assisting the Host Teams this fall. Individuals targets? Safety? Wherever I'm needed. Just say the word. I hate hosting, but I hate being a slacker even worse. I have a feeling I'm not the only one who feels this way. These are weird times. They'll expose weakness or strength. Let's all work on the latter.

Be smart, take care, and I hope to see y'all on the line!

    Jim,

I think you are on to something.
Going to take a lot to pull off fall nationals and other shoots "if" this crap passes.
Many work loads have changed many may be burning all sick and vaction now and not have time or even if we had time be able to take off.

This is a big life changing event the likes many have never seen or will see again.

I believe that after this all has passed and I hope it does fast they will look at all the options and then find a path to move forward.

    Jim,

i am very pleased and honored to see your post regarding helping out at the Falls. I have been with the NSSA for 20 years, and this is one of the reasons i stayed, the people and the willingness of the membership to help out when ever and where ever needed. Thank you!!
