How deep should the rifling be on a Pietta Smith?

So I have just taken possession of a nearly-new, 2019 manufacture Pietta Smith.

    It is very nice.

I was looking down the bore at the rifling, and was struck by how faint it seemed.

From what I can measure with calipers, the depth of the grooves seems to be about .008 on the bullet I pounded down the barrel.

    Does this sound right?
