Where to buy "Dickies" or other skirmish pants?

OK so I bought some Sutler-row size 36 wool pants for my daughter, and they are huge on her even though she has 35 hips and 28 waist.

Bought some kid size 12, too small. bought some kid size 16, too small.

So I'm giving up on actual Civil War pants.

I hear about some Dickies work pants or Amish pants or similar. Do you have some online sources for these?

    Links please?

    Thanks,

    uniform pants

I bought my wool pants from Regimental Quartermaster - they will make you the correct size. They come to the National - they are located in Gettysburg. They also have a website https://regtqm.com/home/

Or you can try https://www.automotiveworkwear.com/ they have workpants in women's sizes.

BUT, to answer your question, Dickies are a brand name for work pants. You can find them at Walmart or any clothing store that sells 'Work Pants' for construction workers, laborers, etc

ALSO, check with your team officers if they are allowed as part of your uniform. Some teams can be very strict about uniforms...

    Dickies

    Steve,
Your post reminds of a true story. Some light years ago myself and a fellow team member took it upon ourselves to shoot individuals at the Nationals. We arrived in Virginia, what we can assume late in the week. The firing line was not as long then and very crowded . Anyway we hauled spotting scope and all associated equipment down the long walk from the hill to the line. Our allowed time was almost up and suddenly another fellow attired in a large oversize white hat. light blue trousers , supported by knee high rubber boots , and it wasn't even raining, crashed into the line shoving me into Joe while he jerked his final scoring shot into the white below the scoring rings. As we left the line we were disCUSSING why the man had been so rude. Joe blurts out " well what do you expect from a man who shoots for General Lee" ? I asked hows that waiting for a sarcastic remark as Joe always was, I would fall for it. Joe finally added, " well it says so on the little orange tag on his back pocket".

    Now that's funny.

Steve check at Wal-Mart and Tractor supply. Walmart carried white, black and natural colored pants that you can remove the back pockets and belt loops off of and put buttons on. Tractor supply I understand also carries painters pants. I am not sure if any of them are going to fit correctly on a women.
