FS: Shiloh 1863 45 Cal. Carbine

Selling my Shiloh 1863 Farmingdale .45 cal Carbine. I had Charlie Hahn do a solid block captive o ring job in April 2019. Rifle is in great condition and bore is as well. I've got three 1863's and don't need this one and want to finance another project. $1300.00 OBO shipped to lower 48's.

Good question. Page #14 of the approved arms shows Shiloh Sharps, but doesn't show a caliber.

I don't know, but for another $100.00 I'll include a unfired Shiloh 50 cal barrel New Model 1863.

To all: A .45 caliber Sharps, be it a Carbine or a Rifle, is not allowed for use in the N-SSA'a competitive matches. Thank you for asking.

I didn't think so John, but I knew you would clarify for us.

Maybe an update to the list of Approved Arms would be in order for those of us that don't know that much about Sharps.

    Happy New Year!

Thanks to all for clarifying this. So if a 45 cal isn't regulation, would a 50 cal be ok? If so, I do have an 50 barrel for this rifle.

    Is it 50 or 54?.
Most were 54 and that is what most shoot. I know the 54 is approved but not sure about 50cal.

Some years ago, against the advice of the Inspector General and the Small Arms Committee, the N-SSA Board of Directors reversed a long standing previous ruling and declared that 0.50" caliber was now allowable for use in Sharps Carbines and Rifles.
