I gotta say, the mentality of as long as it doesn't affect my Henry then I don't care is playing right into the hands of the ones writing these bills.

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

    Then they came for me
And there was no one left
    To speak out for me

    Disenfranchised

I did my part. I voted and I also volunteered to help NRA send out postcards prior to the election but we still lost. Now I have two senators and one congresswoman in Washington, a governor, state delegate and state senator, all Democrats, all hell bent to deny my civil rights under the Constitution. It would be useless for me to voice my opposition to the proposed bills. These politicians will not heed anything I say. They now think they have a mandate and will do anything they please. I've always felt that any politician that supports gun control is either very myopic (to put it politely) or totally corrupt. Their agenda reflects a distrust of the people and for that they do not deserve the public trust.

We all know that the proposed legislation will not stop the misuse of firearms by those prone to violence. That will give these same politicians reason to eventually pass more restrictive laws against all handguns, hunting ("sniper") rifles, and shotguns. Black powder could also be on the endangered list. Who will prevail will likely be up to the courts.

Y'all, I trust that you had a great Thanksgiving and are getting ready for casting season to commence.

There is nothing that is going to stop the leftist from passing everything. Its not that they have the numbers, ie slim majority, but we cannot trust the weak republicans to even take advantage of that... our local governments and sheriffs must be our focus in protecting our association and more importantly our rights!

The best thing we have going for us are the local goverments and sheriffs... For those living in Virginia, you might have heard of the 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Counties. Almost two dozen counties have passed it already, citing US and VA Constitutional laws protecting arms. Most have been passed unanimously! Frederick County, where Ft. Shenandoah is located, will have their hearing on Wed. Dec 11, in Winchester. The county will most likely pass the protective ordnance.

What also needs to be understood is that there are many illegal anti gun laws poised to be passed by the Gen. Assembly, the Red Flag Laws are among the most overreaching, besides the unAmerican lack of due process, in that it focuses on "weapons," not just modern firearms. Knives, tools, etc. anything that be deemed a weapon is fair game... for more information please see Virginia Citizens Defence League or VCDL and sign up for thier updates. They have a great deal of information. If able please attend the Frederick County Board of Supervisors meeting Wed. Dec. 11 located at 107 Kent Street, Winchester, VA, @ 7pm.

When it comes to electing sheriffs and such, find out which candidates are members of Oath Keepers. If you are not familiar with Oath Keepers, Google it. You will find it interesting.
