I understand that. The reason the Fort was chosen for this class is access to a range with everything needed for the class. We have heated classroom space, on site food, etc and it is centrally located.

IF we were to do the training in Statesville, there is no class facility. Food is off site. Camping is possible, but many at the Fort have campers there.

Hey, I'd love to do Statesville since I'm only 40min away, but the Fort makes the most sense for the first pass of instructor training. As this goes forward, we'll look at doing it in other areas more convenient to other regions.

You need to be there all 3 days as there will be 3 classes taught. The first two allow you to get to the actual muzzleloading instructor class. More coming as we get things firmed up with the NRA Training Counselor and some other logistic items.

OK thanks I have put in for Vacation 1/9 - 1/13 - I'll need a day travel to get there and a day travel to get back. It's about an 11-hour drive from here.

I just signed my son up for Boy Scouts and I'm eager to work with them on black powder.

    Any idea on cost?

    PoorJack -

I saw in a post, that I now can't find find, that you were looking for names and email addresses for a group email to keep people advised of this training.

Through the Chesapeake Region (Ed Thompson), I submitted the nae of Paul Nolte from our Company who was interested in this training. Paul has an email of: p6nov@yahoo.com . Please add his name and address to the group for email.

    Thanks -
