    Out of curiosity, how do you cut the sprue? Would dykes cut flush enough to the base?

    The bullet they sell is supposedly .588. What diameter did your DGW mold cast to?

    What does the 558 designation on the mould indicate? If the diameter is .558" the bullet may be on the small side.

    The first 3 numbers on a Rapine mold is diameter, last 3 numbers are bullet weight. The Burnside bullets being sold by Dixie are advertised as being .558.
