My husband was an N-SSA skirmisher into the early 1980s (7th Regiment Virginia Volunteers) before moving to Nevada. He bought one of these Parker-Hales new and shot it in his last season. It was so well-made and accurate he bought another new one from a suttler at Ft. Shenandoah; since his relocation here they've been in storage. One was only shot for the one skirmish season and is in beautiful shape; the other is unfired and still in the box. The almost new one is $750 and the new one $800, both with shipping included. Update: Sale is pending on the new-in-box Enfield although suttler apparently had sold ser. no. 2471 in a box that had the number 1961 on it. In handling the lightly used Enfield (ser. no. 2507) I found the hammer loose. It will probably require a new spring, so that offering is now deferred. Update May 25 - Both Enfields are now sold. Thanks!
