Someone told me to change musket nipples every year because used nipples hurt accuracy. I need advice on this subject. Thanks!

Depends on how much you shoot. As the hole in your nipple opens up with use, your groups will open up as well.

I can't tell if the hole is opening up but I have seen my groups open up quite a bit.
Pick up a set of number drill bits and a new nipple. Measure both nipples and use the one with the smaller hole. If the groups don't tighten, it may be the guy behind the trigger.

Make sure that you change the nipple at home and test for cap fit. Don't change it out and go to the line, only to find that the cap doesn't fit easily and is very hard to get off once fired. Didn't work out too well.....Put it in your drill and turn it down with a file just so the cap doesn't fall off, easily put on and take off live if you have to.
