What should I use this barrel for?

Here is a fun question......this would be for a 2019 project

I have a heavy barrel that was originally intended for a Harper's Ferry 1855 Rifle. I was thinking (which can be dangerous), what other rifles could be made with the same heavy barrel? Preferably, the long range rear-sight would also be used, but I wanted to hear from all of you what other rifle options are there that this same barrel could be used for.

I am not as well versed as some of you are in what rifles share common parts.

    Thanks!

Paul - If you want to use a long range ladder rear sight I think you are limited to a Whitney 1855 Derivitive Militia Rifle.

    Thanks John,

What options are there if I don't use the long range sight?

By eliminating the long range sight you can then go to the Fayetteville series of rifles, of which the N-SSA recognizes five types.

    Thanks John!

I will be contacting you via email regarding the specs for the Fayetteville versions. I didnt realize there were that many versions. These sound interesting.

Paul Davies broke down the various types for us many years ago.
