For Sale: Richmond Carbine, mostly original parts gun

Richmond Carbine with SAC card for sale. Has really nice trigger around 3 pounds pull. Original stock and hardware including bands, butt plate and trigger bow. Lock plate is repro but internals are original. New Whitacre barrel that has is practically unshot. Shoots a .575" minie with about 43.6 grains for Goex 3f, so it won't beat you up. If you have another gun with a Whitacre barrel you can probably interchange ammunition. Compared to other carbines, the sights on this gun are quite easy to see, and it holds very well. I had a much harder time trying to shoot a Musketoon. This gun is more than competitive for most carbine teams, and is an excellent gun for individuals. Price: $970, plus shipping from Maryland. Can deliver to Fort Shenandoah.

Sir, am new to BP rifles and very interested in the Richmond Carbine. I’d like to know a bit more, so here goes: 1. Which Minnie would you recommend with this Carbine? Being “of an age”, light Minnie/powder charge appeal to me, since 50 yards (maybe even out to 100) is my limit and heavy recoil’s not my friend. Am not a hunter, btw. 2. Have you a few more photos to share? If so, please email them to me at cmykpro2@gmail.com.
Eager for your reply, and upon receipt of pix, am prepared to complete arrangements with you promptly.
