If you have never been to Arlington and watch the changing of the guard at the tome of the unknown. I would recommend that you take the time to do so. It is something you will never forget and you will have a deeper appreciation for all the men and women who gave everything for your freedom.
Take the time to shake the hand of a veteran and thank him or her for there service. The smile you will get in return is worth the effort.

I watched the changing of the guard when I was a kid, but that's been a many of decade. I suspect that while I was kinda bored and antsy having to keep quiet and so on as a child, today I would have trouble containing my emotion. I imagine I would stand there with tears running down my face.
