    Sound Distraction

Had an interesting experience practice shooting with my friend Bob Yi this morning. We set out for the woods and set up for some 50 yd musket practice. I was testing some new hearing protection, the new Sonic Multi Frequency Suppression Defibrillators. The little ear plugs block sharp sounds but are extra sensitive for conversation.
After a couple of fouling shots I lined up for my first shot on the black 50 yard dot. I immediately noticed a sound something like a watch makes when enveloped in cotton. As I increased my concentrated I began to realize it was the sound of a man's heart. I scarcely breathed, but still the sound kept getting louder. It was obvious it was Bob's heart I was hearing
I rather briskly asked Bob to move further away which Bob did with kind of a snarly expression, but the next shot the sound was faster and louder -- and the more I concentrated on the target the louder it got. It was obvious these hearing protectors would never work at a skirmish.
So later this afternoon I stopped off at Walmart to look for some other hearing protection. The Walmart lady. Dee Rabin, suggested I go to the cup protectors. I asked her, can you assure me that this will prevent my overhearing the cardio vascular system of the competitor standing beside me. Dee Rabon said:"Nevermore."

How do you know it wasn't your own heart you heard?

    Hey Eggman,

Edgar Allen Poe you're not. Once again you owe everyone here an apology. Perhaps you can say it this way ... “Sir,” said I, “or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore".

Your friend should live to be at least 100 with a heart that powerful.
