    Thanks to all

This is just a note to thank of all the members of the N-SSA from the 48th Virginia Infantry.

These kids of mine had a ball. Yes at times it was nerve wracking going through the process of becoming a unit of the organization but the support given to us by the National Officers and IG Staff was outstanding in every way.
We would like to especially thank a few individuals and units in particular.

Thanks to Dave Booz for all his help in getting this off the ground.
Thanks to Wayne Shaw for trying to keep a Mother Hen of a First Sgt calm during the inspection and on the firing line.
Thanks to the 1st Tennessee Maury Grays and Frenchie and the 1st Valley Rangers and Bobby Hannula for sponsoring us.
Thanks to Ken Stiles of the 9th Va Cav for his guidance through the process.
Thanks to Judy Stoneburner for helping me keep on track with the process.

Thanks to Bob Gorsky and the 8th Va Infantry and the 1st Tenn. for picking up my newbies for the carbine match. That hooked them big time.

Thanks to the 11 Va Cav and St Mary's Light Infantry for being patient and supportive with the newbies being next to them on the firing line at the National Musket Match.
Thanks to the 1st and 2nd Maryland Fife and Drums and White's Company for allowing us the privilege to march with them on Sunday. That meant more to the newbies than you can imagine.

I know I know that is a lot of "Thank You" to go around but it takes that kind of support to get a unit off the ground. Every bit of it is appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Rob

As a part of the protocol, and the Inspection Committee, I must say you, and the 48th VA, presented yourselves very well. The Unit history as presented and your application were quite complete and impressive, and may well become the standard for future applications and inspections. I performed the Small Arms Inspection segment of the process on Friday, and I am pleased to say the 48th VA presented no major arms issues. Unlike one Unit some years ago who presented 7 out of 8 arms that did not have the required SAC Individual Approval Cards!

Congratulations on a job well done, and welcome to the N-SSA!
