    Unless you just have to have a new 1859, try checking out gunshows. I got my 1863 used for $450 at a local show. Have to be patient as most shows are dens of pewpew and chinese crap.

    I have a minty IAB 1859 Sporting (.54 caliber). It has a patchbox, so I think that makes it an 1859.... This thing is gorgeous, and I will surely regret selling it eventually.
