    Question 1858 Enfield Ramrod Thread?

I have a nice early Parker-Hale 1858 2-bander that has a ramrod which is threaded for a worm on one end.

My guess is that this is threaded authentically.

To avoid a lot of experimentation with thread gauges, dies, etc., can someone please tell me what thread size this is likely to be?

    TIA,

    Tom

I tried several 1st generation Parker Hale Pattern 1858 ramrods in my thread gauges. 5.5MX.5 and 7/32X28 both work.

i thread all my rods so they use the same worm. that way it doesn't matter what it started out as. uniformity for me is the goal. other wise you might need different pieces for each gun
