    GL Mears

The 2ND VA VOL INF lost one of our founding members yesterday. GL Mears was a past Company Commander and past Allegheny Region Commander . GL passed away yesterday. GL was a great friend of over 40 years and a great traveling companion. Our thoughts go out to Virginia, Carol , Geoff and grandson Carson. No details as of this morning. He is will be missed my many friends . Posted with a very heavy heart . Hold your friends and love ones close. Every time I hear OKLAHOMA - I will think of him.

I am so very, very, sorry to hear of the passing of GL Mears, a great man and skirmisher. Rest in peace, as you cross that Great River to join the others who have reserved a spot for you under the eternal shade of the trees. I extend my most sincere condolences to the Mears family for their loss.
