    WTB Cadet Raincoat or Similar

Would like to buy a good condition cadet style raincoat like those that Quartermaster used to carry or something similar for use on the firing line. Chest size is 48” so need a large size. Gray color preferred, but will consider others. Just wanting to be in uniform and dry.

I feel your pain. I have had a VMI raincoat for over 35 years. It was old when I got it. Trying to replace it for years. Considered having it copied in China. Good Luck in your hunt

There is a company in Scotland that produces and sells Cadet type rain coats with capes for Pipe Bands. I hope Bob Kelley of the 72nd NY sees this because he has the specific info on this. He had told me, but I didn't write it down......

While I have also had a cadet rain coat for many years (West Point), I don't believe that is period correct for the War of Yankee Aggression. Rather, it is copied from the great coat.

South Union Mills has some period rain coats.
