How many government employees does it take to move a cannon?

Answer: One to center-punch the cannon, one to drill the hole, one to tap the hole, one to screw in the big steel lifting eye, one to hook on the chain, one to run the forklift. If I hadn't seen the results of this in person and gotten this picture, no one would believe me. The tube was a excellent M1841 bronze 6-pounder with pendulum hausse bracket and front sight still in place, so I'd suspect it was used during the CW. For various reasons I don't want to give the location of this example of incredible stupidity. I'd like to think this was done many, many years ago, but you just never know.

Two slings and a shackle(or a stout rope with a knot tied in it) would have been so much better. Stupid is as stupid does!
