WTB: Navy Arms Buffalo Hunter, .58

Looking for one of these guns made by Zoli for Navy Arms based on a sporterized Zouave on behalf of a friend who is a retired rancher in Idaho. If you have one, or know where one might be found, please let me know, and thank you!

Hello, I have an "as new," Buffalo Hunter. It is a Zouave reproduction. The rifle was given to a Dr, as a gift in 1962. It hung on the wall in his office and was never fired. This rifle was Imported by HY Hunter of Hollywood Ca. the serial HHH#366. Hy Hunter was an avid hunter. He took a musket to Africa and killed an elephant, with this model. If you ware interested. I have a lot of good information. the serial # 1420 of this rifle, sold at auction for $1,720.00 The importer, Hy Hunter, also imported the Great Western line of firearms. John Wayne carried a .45 Great Western. James Arness, Matt Dillon of Gun Smoke, also carried a Great Western in the TV series. Anyway, I have an interesting Sporterized Zouave carbine .58 caliber, with a cool background. Call me at 252-342-0666. Best regards, Johnny Ray

Why not a plain vanilla Zoli? You can get them used for $300-400

Lou, Lou, Lou actually has a good idea. I know a fellow who did just that. He bought a standard Zoli Zouave quite reasonable and cut it down to suit his purposes! When he got done it looked just like the post Civil War cut down muskets we used to see all over the place.
