Still trying to liquidate a life time of accumulation.
This is an Enfield style rifled-musket, two band, that was made for the Emperor of Brazil but bought by agents for the Federal government. It is an original, complete and functional. I bought it from Lodgewood some years ago before my illness, and never fired it. The barrel was relined by Bobby Hoyt according to Becky of Lodgewood, and I believe it is .580. I no longer have gagues to check this.
Excellent wood and metal. NO trigger job was done, but all works as it should.
This is the model of Leige Belgium made weapon that has the little eagle in brass screwed to the tang.
For those among us who collect pictures, I have some available.
