Just picked up a model 65 in .36 percussion, 26 inch barrel. Would like to plink with it. Any recommendations for a mould? I was told it took a .371 bullet. Any info? Thanks in abdvance

Accurate Molds at accuratemolds.com has one that is a copy of the original bullet. It is #37-180M. It is available in steel, brass or aluminum whichever you prefer. Lead time is about 4 weeks.
Thanks, John.

Jim and I both shoot them - I'll get him to tell you what he uses.

Here I am Lou. Just checked my 36cal mould. It is stamped LRRC for Larry Romano and is made by Lyman. The exact size is not stamped on it, but I can tell you I size them down to .368 with a lubrisizer die. The Romano bullet is long and skinny and I think has 3 grooves.

I use Lyman 375248 sized with a .378 die in my Romano with a Hoyt barrel.
It's a 38-55 bullet that is accurate to 300 meters in a cartridge gun. Good enough for skirmishing.
