Good Resource on Lock Construction (M1855)

    Hello! Thanks for stopping by.

As the title says, I'm looking for a good resource for constructing an M1855 Lock. Can be print, video, etc. If you have a complete lock for sale, I'd be glad to speak with you about it (plz PM me).

My winter project is going to try to build an M1855 Rifle (2 bander).

    Thanks,
    Terry

Well ... I'm going to try from scratch. Probably use the services of our region's gunsmith(s) for some of the construction ... like the barrel & sights ... making sure it is SAC approved, etc.

I have some good 55 rifle bands and nose caps in steel. See me at Yecks in Sutlers next week. Bruce
