P1853 in the American Rifleman Mag

Gary James in the latest "I have this Old Gun" column talked about and pictured a P1853 Enfield
second model made in 1856. Neat looking rifle with it's solid bands and button ram rod. Makes me want
to take my 3rd Model out for a workout.

Picked up an Armisport P53 a while back and dang if I've had time to unlimber that rascal.
The bore is .577 for a nice surprise. Got plenty minies, just don't have time to go.
