To All:
I have a very gently used Lyman Minnie mould in the size of .557. I actually forget what I had it for! I am am now looking for a round ball mould. I have a Richmond with a Whitacre .577 bore and to keep active over the winter, I would like to shoot in a few "round ball" shoots over the winter. So, I am looking for a round all mould to use with a .577 bore.
Also, any suggestions as to powder loads for a round ball out of a Whitacre barrel? I know that the riffling is not ideal for a round ball, I am just looking for a ball park guess. I am using bed sheet for my patches, so perfect accuracy is not the prime objective.
Now for a long shot, I may be interested in a .54 flintlock, I have a project Plymouth rifle that I may trade, but no guarantees...
