Plating parts.....

I have a Navy Arms .36 Navy Colt with a silver or chrome plated trigger gard/frame. It has become rather worn. Has anyone here a source for getting brass parts re-plated or done any plating and have advice on how it is done??

The Chrome Shop, Inc. in Menasha, Wisconsin will both plate, and remove plating. http://www.thechromeshopinc.com/ I've never had them plate anything for me, but they did a nice job removing nickel plating from a musket barrel, and chrome plating from a Lorenz bayonet last year. It was about $50 per item.
