Does anyone know it the Garretts in .50-70 were conversions from percussion models, or originally produced as centerfires? Any ideas on what one in good shape would be worth?
Thanks,
Duane
The Garrett 50-70 carbines were imported in the early 80's. I bought one in the Spring of 1983 & later sold it. They were a very exact copy of the original Sharps conversion carbine complete with Lawrence primer system.

What did you think of it?
Duane
It was a fine gun. I wish I had never sold it.
