View Full Version : Mississippi barrel ?s
Mr. Whitacre used a Zoli barrel as a pattern for his Mississippi/Zouave barrels. Can any one tell me the if the O.D. of a Zoli is close to an original Mississippi barrel?
This will be a custom build with a Dunlap stock. I tried to re-stock a Euroarms Mississippi several years ago only to find out the barrel was much smaller O.D. I don't want to run in to the same problem here. Any help much appreciated.

I talked with Dan before I posted the question. He used a Zoli barrel for the pattern on his reproduction, He does not know what the outside dimensions of an original Miss. barrel are.
He said O.D. measurements from the breech at 3in, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 and the muzzle would be enough.
Thanks in advance
O.K. I've got the measurements from an original Mississippi barrel. If someone could give the measurements from an Antonio Zoli zouave barrel I can go from there.
Here's the numbers from the Miss. measured from the breech starting at 3 inches.
3 - 1.110
6 - 1.060
12-1.005
18- .970
24- .940
30- .915
muzzle .905
I got the information I needed. Thanks
