SAC: Before I change it, I would like to be sure of the measurement. Is the front sight of a Spencer rifle (Armisport repro) supposed to be 26.75" (plus or minus 1/4') measured from the reciever face to the REAR of the front sight base? The question really is where do you measure on the front sight? Is it always the rear, or front part of the sight base? Thanks! Hoot 3rd Ga
