For sale, Hewes and Phillips percussion converted Springfield model 1816 smoothbore musket. Lock plate is dated 1826. Metal has been cleaned. Bore lightly rusted with no pitting. Stock cartouch very light but there. Mechanically fine with strong main spring. Name of J ROUAM and the number 82 neatly stamped in 1/2" markings forward of the lock on fore end. Ramrod appears to be original. Has N-SSA Small Arms Committee inspection card.
