In a nut-shell it is a firearm that actually existed, and was produced by the Confederacy utilizing all of the captured and damaged rifles that were appropriated from the north.
These firearms utilized damaged 1861 Springfields and 1861 Contracts, like the Bridesburg, Trenton, etc, etc... It has an 1861 Barrel with a 33" length, and has a brass nose cap.

"Razeed", is an old historic term meaning "Shortened". As an example, this terminology was used prior to the American Revolution in Naval terminology to describe a ship that was modified to make it smaller by having upper decks removed, etc. In the American Civil War, Richmond adopted a consistent pattern of salvaging battlefield damaged rifle muskets into a 2 band configuration. Their period terminology to identify these "Short Rifles" was that they had been "Razeed", or in other words "Shortened".
