Local-ish store has a cut down potsdam. Markings obliterated, carbine length barrel, wood cut, buttplate missing, all it really has going for it is the lock is functional, hammer is in nice shape actually and the trigger is there, and the trigger guard. He wants $125 on it, would probably take $100 cash.
I shoot a potsdam. My thought is, it's worth buying just for the spare lock, but then I haven't priced Potsdam locks, particularly ones with all markings obliterated and with heavy pitting and bubba's basement naval jelly treatment in evidence.
Rear sight is there too, I suppose someone desperately wanting one could stretch the barrel and reline, but a whole new stock would be needed. This one would be a real challenge to rebuild.
