I have a Pietta smith that breaks crisply- but at 12 pounds. I'd like to get it down around 4. I got the side plate off, and the guts of it look straightfoward enough; however I can't figure out how to remove them past this point.

Anyone with a guide, or who can give guidance?

I bought a "clothespin spring" style sear spring from Lodgewood a number of years ago. Dropped right in. No modifications and made the trigger quite enjoyable.

Now I can spend all my money buying magic bullet molds guaranteed to hit the x ring every time no matter how hard you jerk the trigger.

Mine has that. Sear engages the tumbler too deeply.

You have to remove the butt stock to remove the main spring that's hooked onto that link on the tumbler. After that, take the hammer screw off and everything should come apart.
