The first issei is to determine if it is safe to shoot. Recent strings indicate some of the breeches/ beech plugs are not strong enough. To shoot safely.

Agreed. Give it to a smith to pull and examine the bore and overall condition first; the lock issues are secondary.

While we could recommend several smiths I'm sure to just do lock work, you wouldn't want to just send them the lock and have it fixed, only to determine the gun is unsafe.
