what is the best adjustment of my new hodgdon mould

just received a new 54 cal hodgdon mould for my euroarms Mississippi. you can adjust the size of the bullet it casts.

anyone know which size will work best in my euroarms?

Bill,

First cast some and see what diameter they are. The Euroarms Mississippi usually runs about a .546 bore. Unless the bullet casts close to that diameter, you will have struggles. Mine would not go above .541, too small for the stock barrel. I have replaced the Euro barrel with a Whitacre barrel which has opened up the available moulds considerably. The only mould I am aware of that will get close to the necessary diameter is Rapine's minie made in .546
