Here is an original 1863 Remington that has been reblued. It is in excellent condition with a bad bore. The wood has been sanded with light traces of cartouches visible. The top of the comb has a swale between the butt plate tang and the leading edge of the comb. It is not major and neatly done. The metal and marking are outstanding. There are some scuffs in the lock plate and almost no pitting anywhere. (you really have to hunt to find a pit) The blue job is well done for what that is worth. I believe all parts are original. The lock is very crisp. The one exception may be the sight base. I can find no inspector marks on the base but I am not sure it should have one. The leafs are proper. It is priced to sell it quick. This is an excellent candidate for an original shooter finished the way you want to finish.

Hi,

The jaeger is the model 1854 B. It is original with the exception of the rear site and the front sling swivel. They are Rifle Shop reproductions. The wood has imperfections it is solid. The barrel needs relined. The gun is perfect for a shooter.. The lock is solid. If I don't sell it at the Veterans. I will send pictures.

Thanks

Tom
