To All,
I have a Parker and Snow model 1861 3 band rifle for sale. I will point out the good and bad as I want you to know exactly is there.
The only major thing missing is a ram rod. (Excellent repos can be purchased online at Butches gun parts for about $50.) there is a tiny chip missing out of the metal in the barrel tang, but does not affect anything. There is a black stain on the butt stock, it may be water stained, but does not affect the structure of the stock. The middle band sling is missing, but a replacement can be bought for $15.
Now for the good, there was no barrel on this rifle when I purchased it, is I have put a Bob Hoyt barrel on it, it has a brand new rear sight on it, and has the front sight. Everything on the rifle is original except the barrel and it's components. There are two faint cartouches on the stock. The lock functions flawlessly and the stampings are crisp and clear! All bands show the "U" clearly. The metal furniture is in very good shape. I am asking $1100 or best offer. If interested, I will send pictures, My pictures seem to be too big for the forum.
