Nipple thread size mystery on 10 year old cva imported zouave

Anyone know what the thread size is for nipples on older CVA Zouaves???

This rifle desperately needs a new nipple to continue its Skirmishing career!

Call Track of the Wolf. I had a similar problem with a Pedersoli Sharps. The experts there put me onto an 8mm nipple that fit ok.
They said that the Italians sometimes use worn taps and you get an iffy thread. I intend to buy a new tap and chase my threads to fix mine for good.
