My collecting interests are more focused on the M1842 Musket and restoring ones that have been cut down and otherwise abused. I am looking for original parts for the M1842. Parts must be complete (not interested in cut-down barrels, for example, or broken stocks) and must be in good shape. I am not interested in any parts that are heavily pitted or damaged in any way. If you have any parts that you want to sell or trade, please send me an email or respond to this thread. If you are asking for a lot more than the parts are worth, then I am probably not interested. Here's what I can use immediately - butt plates w/screws, trigger guards (complete), trigger assemblies, and barrel bands. Other parts will be needed as time goes on. James xring2245 at att dot net

Lodgewood still has quite a few original '42 parts in stock. If you're interested in buying in bulk, I'm sure they can work with you on pricing:

-David I was at their store at Fort Shenandoah last week looking at some of their stock. There are a few things I will be getting from them. Thanks.

Does anyone have a barrel in good shape?
